CLINTON NAMED CACC OFFICER FOR DIRECTORS COUNCIL
New Haven, CT (6/2/10) Sheila Wooten, Director of Athletics at Bloomfield College, has been tabbed the President of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), according to voting conducted at a recent Directors Council Meeting. Ben DiNallo of Felician College was named Vice President, while Nyack College Director of Athletics Keith Davie was selected as Second Vice President. Dominican Colleges Joe Clinton will serve as the conferences treasurer.

New Haven, CT (6/2/10) – Sheila Wooten, Director of Athletics at Bloomfield College, has been tabbed the President of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), according to voting conducted at a recent Directors Council Meeting. Ben DiNallo of Felician College was named Vice President, while Nyack College Director of Athletics Keith Davie was selected as Second Vice President. Dominican College’s Joe Clinton will serve as the conference’s treasurer.
“I look forward to working closely with Sheila, Ben, Keith and Joe as we strive to continue to improve the conference in the coming years,” said CACC Commissioner, Dan Mara. “I’d like to thank Tom Shirley for serving as President for the last four years, and Mark Corino for his two years of service as Vice President. I also want to thank Sandy Michael for her six years of work as President and Past President.”
Wooten was appointed Director of Athletics at Bloomfield in 1999 after serving for 10 years as Assistant AD. Wooten is a 1985 graduate of Bloomfield and was a standout student-athlete in three sports, including volleyball, basketball and softball. A two-time All-American, Wooten was the first BC women’s basketball player to record 1,000 points and rebounds in her career. She was inducted into the college’s Hall of Fame in 1990. Wooten was Bloomfield’s head volleyball coach from 1990-1999 and finished with a career record of 126-117. Wooten also serves as the CACC’s Directors Council supervisor of Women’s Basketball.
DiNallo, Felician’s Director of Athletics since February of 2003, was secretary of the CACC for the past two years and is the league's Directors Council supervisor of women's soccer. He was also appointed the chair of the CACC's Championships Committee and Nominating Committee. DiNallo has worked in the Felician athletic department since its inception in the fall of 1996. He is currently the college's head golf coach, and has also coached the Golden Falcons in women's soccer and women's basketball.
Davie has been Nyack’s Director of Athletics since 1997 and has served as the school’s head men’s soccer coach since 1995. Davie was the conference’s secretary from 2002 to 2008. A graduate of Houghton College, Davie was a member of the 1986 National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championship team. Davie, the all-time wins leader at Nyack, led the Warriors to a CACC Men’s Soccer Tournament championship last season.
Clinton has served as Dominican’s Director of Athletics since 1989 and has been head men’s basketball coach since 1991, racking up 273 wins in that time. He has led the Chargers to three conference championships and was named CACC Coach of the Year three times. Clinton is the CACC Directors Council supervisor for men’s soccer and is on the regional advisory committee for men’s basketball and men’s soccer. He is the former national chair of Division II baseball and was the region chair for four years.
