MACKEY '08 QUALIFIES FOR PGA CHAMPIONSHIP
Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/6/19) Brian Mackey '08, Head Professional at Hollow Brook Golf Club, qualified for the PGA Championship this past week by finishing T-8 in the PGA Professional Championship. Brian was one of 20 PGA Class-A Members who qualified for the event in a field 360 players.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/6/19) Brian Mackey '08, Head Professional at Hollow Brook Golf Club, qualified for the PGA Championship this past week by finishing T-8 in the PGA Professional Championship.
Mackey was one of 20 PGA Class-A Members who qualified for the event in a field 360 players. Mackey started off day one with four birdies en route to a 73 to begin the event. He followed up that round with a spectacular round of 68, having a stretch of five holes in which he was five under par on the front nine, recording five birdies and an eagle. The third round he shot 75 with 15 pars on the scorecard which put him in great position for the final day to qualify for one of the four Majors on the PGA Tour. The fourth and final round is where he showed how steady he is firing a one under 71 with only one bogey solidifying his place in the Major event.
Mackey will be competing among the top golfers in the world at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York May 13th through May 19th with the event being Thursday-Sunday. You can watch the event on CBS and TNT over the course of the week as he pursues his first PGA Tournament as well as his first PGA Major Championship.
