CHARGERS BASEBALL LOSE TO MOLLOY COLLEGE
Uniondale, NY (4/3/12) The Dominican College baseball team dropped a non-conference game to host, Molloy College, 7-4, this afternoon in a game played at the Mitchel Athletic Complex. With the loss, Dominican falls to 10-17 overall, while Molloy College improves to 10-17 overall.

The Chargers scored first in the top of the third inning as shortstop Oliver Christensen (Coral Springs, FL) hit a two out triple to center field. Centerfielder Xavier Bonilla (Bronx, NY) followed with an RBI single to right field to go ahead 1-0.
The Lions answered back with five runs in the bottom half of the inning to go up 5-1. Dominican scored three runs in the fifth inning as Christensen had an RBI infield single and Bonilla later followed with a one out two-run triple to center field to cut the deficit to 5-4.
In the bottom stanza, Molloy added two insurance runs en route to the 7-4 victory.
Freshman right-handed pitcher Anthony Pastrana (Queens, NY) took the loss (0-1) in four innings of work, allowing six runs on eight hits and five strikeouts. Reliever Caleb Whiteley (San Antonio, TX) pitched the last four innings, scattering two hits.
DC is back in action on Thursday as they travel to Post University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action.
