CHARGERS FALL TO ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE
Pomona, NY (4/12/12) The Dominican College baseball team fell in non-conference action to the visiting Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College, 19-5, this afternoon in a game played at Provident Bank Park. Following the loss, Dominican now stands at 12-20 overall, while STAC improves to 23-12.

Pomona, NY (4/12/12) The Dominican College baseball team fell in non-conference action to the visiting Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College, 19-5, this afternoon in a game played at Provident Bank Park. Following the loss, Dominican now stands at 12-20 overall, while STAC improves to 23-12.
The Chargers struck for three runs in the bottom of the first inning as left fielder Tony Blake (Windsor, CT) hit his third home run of the season, this one being a three-run blast to right field to give DC the 3-0 lead.
The Spartans tied the contest in the third, but Dominican answered back in the bottom stanza with two runs as first basemen Andrew Camardella (Pelham, NY) delivered this second homer of the year to plate two runs and put DC back in front 5-3.
From there the scoring belonged to the STAC as they scored at least one run in each of the remaining six innings en route to the 19-5 victory.
Tom Liang (Bronx, NY) came off the bench to go 2-2 in the game.
Starter Victor Cosme (Brooklyn, NY) fell to 1-4 on the season, allowing six runs (two earned) on nine hits.
Dominican is back in action tomorrow as they take on Caldwell College in a non-conference game.
