BASEBALL LOSES TO BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE
Montclair, NJ (4/27/12) The Dominican College baseball team fell in non-conference action to host, Bloomfield College, 4-2, this afternoon in a game played at Yogi Berra Stadium. With the loss, Dominican falls to 19-24 overall on the season.

The Chargers took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning as Xavier Bonilla (Bronx, NY) tripled and ended up scoring on a Deacon error. BC tied the game in the fifth inning, but Dominican regained the lead with a run in the sixth on the RBI sacrifice fly ball of the bat of Andrew Camardella (Pelham, NY) for the 2-1 lead.
Three runs in the seventh inning by Bloomfield propelled them to the 4-2 victory.
Caleb Whiteley (San Antonio, TX) took the loss (3-1) in 6 1/3 innings of work, allowing four runs (one earned) on nine hits.
Ryan Calby (Huntington Station, NY) pitched the final 1 2/3 innings and did not allow a hit.
Bonilla led the Charger offense with three hits on the day.
Dominican returns to action tomorrow as they host Bloomfield College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
