ADELPHI SHUTS OUT CHARGERS BASEBALL
Garden City, N.Y. (3/26/13) The Adelphi University Panthers handed the visiting Chargers of Dominican College a 7-0 loss this afternoon in a non-conference game played at Bonomo Field. With the loss, DC falls to 3-7 overall while the Panthers improve to 8-9-1 on the season.

Garden City, N.Y. (3/26/13) The Adelphi University Panthers handed the visiting Chargers of Dominican College a 7-0 loss this afternoon in a non-conference game played at Bonomo Field. With the loss, DC falls to 3-7 overall while the Panthers improve to 8-9-1 on the season.
The game was scoreless until the fifth inning when the Panthers scored three runs and added four more in the seventh en route to the 7-0 victory.
Dominican was limited to just four hits in the nine inning game.
Junior Ryan Calby (Huntington Station, N.Y.) took the loss (0-1) in six innings of work, allowing five runs on six hits and striking out five.
Caleb Whiteley (Joplin, Mo.) came in to pitch the seventh inning, allowing two runs on three hits. Jesse McIlwaine (Huntington, N.Y.) pitched the eighth inning.
DC is scheduled to be in action tomorrow as they travel to C.W. Post University.
