CHARGERS RALLY TO BEAT NYACK COLLEGE IN EXTRA INNINGS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/3/13) The Dominican College baseball team improved to 9-8 overall after topping Nyack College, 8-7, this afternoon in an 11 inning non-conference battle played at Veteran's Memorial Park. Following the loss, the Warriors are now 3-14 overall.

Nyack scored two runs in the top of the first, but the Chargers rallied with two runs in the bottom stanza on a sacrifice fly ball off the bat of left fielder Tony Blake (Windsor, Conn.) and an RBI single to center field from Leonardo Bravo (Bronx, N.Y.) to tie the game 2-2.
The Warriors regained a two-run lead in the third but Dominican answered right back in their half of the inning as Blake had an RBI fielder's choice and first basemen Andrew Camardella (Pelham, N.Y.) had a sacrifice fly ball to re-tie the score at 4-4.
Dominican took their first lead of the game in the fourth as second basemen Dylan Ebel (Coral Springs, Fla.) hit an RBI single to left center field to give the Chargers a 5-4 advantage. Nyack rallied with two runs in the sixth to go ahead 6-5 and scored a run in the seventh for a 7-5 lead.
DC re-tied the score in the bottom of the seventh inning as Ebel scored on a wild pitch and Blake hit an RBI groundout.
In the bottom of the eleventh with the bases loaded, Ebel was hit by-a-pitch to plate a run and give Dominican the 8-7 victory.
Ebel, Delgado and Blake all had two hits a-piece in the win.
Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.) got the win (1-0) after pitching 2 2/3 innings with four strikeouts. Starter Ryan Calby (Huntington Station, N.Y.) went 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs (two earned) on six hits.
