MOLLOY DEFEATS CHARGERS BASEBALL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/9/13) The Molloy College Lions defeated the Dominican College baseball team, 16-1, this afternoon in a non-conference game played at Veteran's Field. The Lions pounded 19 hits in the victory to improve to 14-19 overall, while the Chargers posted five hits and fall to 13-11 on the season.

The Lions pounded 19 hits in the victory to improve to 14-19 overall, while the Chargers posted five hits and fall to 13-11 on the season.
MC scored runs in the first and second inning to quickly take an 8-0 lead and led 9-0 after four innings. DC got on the board in the sixth inning on the RBI single through the left side off the bat of first basemen Andrew Camardella (Pelham, N.Y.).
Molloy extended the lead to 10-1 with a run in the seventh and scored six more in the top of the ninth for the final 16-1 victory.
Left-handed pitcher Caleb Olesen (Selden, N.Y.) took the loss in 1 2/3 innings of work, allowing eight runs (four earned) on seven hits.
Dominican is back in action tomorrow as they travel to Philadelphia University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-header.l
