Lyndhurst, N.J. (4/16/13) The Dominican College baseball team improved to 18-12 overall and 13-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating host, Felician College,2-1 this afternoon in a game played at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex.
Lyndhurst, N.J. (4/16/13) The Dominican College baseball team improved to 18-12 overall and 13-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating host, Felician College,2-1 this afternoon in a game played at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex.
The game was scoreless untill the fourth inning when Dominican struck for a run on the Andrew Camardella (Pelham, N.Y.) RBI single down the left field line to score Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.) who had singled up-the-middle earlier.
Felician tied the game in the bottom stanza on a Charger throwing error.
DC went ahead in the eighth inning on a Golden Falcon error on a ball hit by Lopez that brought home Tony Blake (Windsor, Conn.) who drew a two-out walk to get on base and later stole second.
Blake went 2-3 with two runs scored.
Junior left-handed pitcher Ryan Calby (Huntington Station, N.Y.) got the complete game victory (2-1), scattering five hits and striking out five batters.
