PACE UNIVERSITY BEATS CHARGERS BASEBALL
Pomona, N.Y. (4/18/19) The Pace University Setters took a non-conference game from the Dominican College baseball squad, 13-5, yesterday in a game played at Provident Bank Park. With the loss the Chargers fall to 19-13 on the season, while the Setters improve to 25-9 overall.

The Chargers scored four runs in the first inning off six hits for the early 4-0 advantage. Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week, Tony Blake (Windsor, Conn.) started the scoring with an RBI single and senior Andrew Camardella (Pelham, N.Y.) later followed with a three-run blast to left field.
The Setters answered back with a four-run second inning, but DC regained the lead in the bottom stanza on the sacrifice fly ball from Blake for the 5-4 lead. Pace tied the score in the third and went ahead with two runs in the fourth to make the score 7-5. The Setters added runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings for the 13-5 victory.
Left-handed pitcher Jordan Pasek (Sussex, Wis.) suffered the loss (2-2) in 3 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs (six earned) on seven hits.
Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.) and Oliver Christensen (Coral Springs, Fla.) each had two hits in the loss.
