Rightfielder Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.) went 4-5 in the game with three runs scored and two RBIs. He was a home run away from hitting for the cycle.
Bloomfield held a 1-0 lead when Dominican rallied with a seven run bottom of the second inning. Kenny Harrell (Pompano Beach, Fla.) and Kevin Rodriguez (Miami, Fla.) each recorded two RBIs in the inning.
The Deacons added runs in the fourth and fifth innings to make the score 7-3, but the Chargers tacked on three more runs in the sixth as Lopez hit a two run double and senior Andrew Camardella (Pelham, N.Y.) hit an RBI double for the final 11-3 victory.
Right-handed pitcher Brett Schneider (Coral Springs, Fla.) got the win (2-1) after going eight innings, allowing three runs (none earned) on six hits and six strikeouts. Steven Pastrana (Queens, N.Y.) came in to pitch the ninth inning.
