PANTHERS RALLY TO UPEND CHARGERS BASEBALL
Pomona, N.Y. (5/2/13) The Adelphi University baseball team rallied from a 5-0 deficit to defeat host, Dominican College, 7-6, last night in a non-conference game played at Provident Bank Park. With the loss, Dominican falls to 27-19 on the season.

Dominican got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning on the RBI groundout from designated hitter Oliver Christensen (Coral Springs, Fla.)
The Chargers added two more in the second as catcher Tyler Clark (Cheshire, Conn.) hit a two out solo home run to left field and Kenny Harrell (Pompano Beach, Fla.) later followed with a run scoring single through the right side to extend the lead to 3-0.
DC made the lead 5-0 in the sixth as senior Tony Blake (Windsor, Conn.) drew the bases loaded walk to plate a run and first basemen Andrew Camardella (Pelham, N.Y.) later hit a sac fly ball to center field to score the other run.
AU tied the game with a five-run seventh inning and added a run in the eighth and ninth stanzas to go up 7-5. The Chargers scored the game's final run in the bottom of the ninth on a bases loaded sacrifice fly ball to right field off the bat of Nick Delgado (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) for the final 7-6 score.
Reliever Tom Liang (Bronx, N.Y.) took the loss (0-3) in one inning of work, allowing one run on four hits.
Starter Jordan Paszek (Sussex, Wis.) went seven innings, giving up five runs on 12 hits and striking out eight.
Camardella and Harrell each had two hits in the loss.
