BASEBALL ELIMINATED FROM CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Wilmington, Del. (5/10/13) The #2 Dominican College baseball team was eliminated from the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Championships this afternoon after falling to #5 Felician College, 2-0, this afternoon in an elimination game played at Frawley Stadium.
Wilmington, Del. (5/10/13) The #2 Dominican College baseball team was eliminated from the 2013 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Baseball Championships this afternoon after falling to #5 Felician College, 2-0, this afternoon in an elimination game played at Frawley Stadium.
The game was scoreless until the top of the sixth inning when the Golden Falcons scored a run on a RBI double to left center field. FC added a run in the seventh inning on a run scoring single up-the-middle for the 2-0 eventual victory.
Seniors Tony Blake (Windsor, Conn.) and Andrew Camardella (Pelham, N.Y.) had two of the Charger hits in the loss.
Catcher Tyler Clark (Cheshire, Conn.) and Nick Delgado (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) had the other two hits.
Starter Ryan Calby (Huntington Station, N.Y.) went six and 2/3 innings in the loss (3-3), allowing two runs on seven hits and five strikeouts.
Jesse McIllwaine (Huntington, N.Y.) pitched the final two and 1/3 innings.
With the loss, the Chargers end the season with an overall record of 28-22.
