CHARGERS FALL TO PANTHERS
Garden City, N.Y. (4/10/14) The Dominican College baseball team fell in non-conference action to host, Adelphi University, 6-2, this afternoon in a game played at Bonomo Memorial Field.

Garden City, N.Y. (4/10/14) The Dominican College baseball team fell in non-conference action to host, Adelphi University, 6-2, this afternoon in a game played at Bonomo Memorial Field.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 9-15 on the season.
The Chargers scored first with two runs in the top of the first inning as shorstop Robert Alonso (Hurley, N.Y.) doubled down the left field line to score a run and Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.) later followed with an RBI single to right field for the 2-0 advantage.
The Panthers countered in the bottom stanza and produced three runs to go up 3-2 and added a run in the third, fifth and seventh innings for the 6-2 win.
Alonso finished the game going 2-4 with an RBI and one run scored.
Andrew Morano (Clintondale, N.Y.) suffered the loss (0-1) in six innings of work, allowing five runs on 11 hits.
Dominican is scheduled to be in non-conference action tomorrow as they travel to Molloy College.
