Game One: The Chargers scored all of their runs in the first two innings as Arbely Soto (Bronx, N.Y.) hit an RBI triple and Jonel Ozuna (New York, N.Y.) had an RBI ground out to give Dominican a 3-1 lead after one inning.
The Penmen scored three runs in the bottom of the third and would explode for a six-run eighth stanza enroute to the 12-3 victory.
Soto finished the game with two hits.
Franklin Miller (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) suffered the loss (0-1) in four innings of work, allowing five runs (two earned) on four hits and four strikeouts.
Game Two: SNHU scored three runs in the first inning, but DC would later come back to tie it with two runs in the third inning on a single from Jordan Bernacet (Schenectady, N.Y.) and a sacrifice fly ball to center field from Soto and a run in the fourth off a run-scoring single from Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.) for a 3-3 score.
The Penmen regained the lead in their half of the fifth with three runs, but Dominican cut the lead to a run in the bottom of the inning off a double from Bernacet and a single off the bat of Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.).
DC added a run in the seventh on an RBI ground out for the final 8-6 score.
Decker and Bernacet each had two hits in the loss.
John-Michael Broderick (Spring Lake Heights, N.J.) took the loss in five innings of work, allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits.
