The Chargers trailed 7-0 after five innings, but got on the scoreboard in the top of the sixth as right fielder William Seymour (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) delivered a run-scoring single to bring home Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.).
Dominican scored their final run of the game in the eighth stanza as centerfielder Arbely Soto (Bronx, N.Y.) brought home a run with a single.
Anthony Hunter (Palm City, Fla.) took the loss (0-1) in 3 1/3 innings of work, allowing six runs on eight hits and four strikeouts.
Kyle Morgan (Boca Raton, Fla.) went 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits. Zach Pernick (Coral Springs, Fla.) gave up three runs on four hits in one inning of work.
Dominican will take on Southern Connecticut State University tomorrow.
