SETTERS TOP CHARGERS
Cary, N.C. (3/20/16) The Pace University Setters defeated the Dominican College baseball team four the fourth consecutive time today after winning a non-conference game by the score of 16-5 in a game played at the USA Baseball National Training Center.

The win gives Pace their fourth win in five meetings this season and drops the Chargers record to 6-9.
The Setter recorded 16 hits in the win and the team led 16-0 after seven innings of play.
DC got on the board in the top of the eighth with two runs, taking advantage of two Pace fielding errors. Jayson Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y.) scored the first Charger run of the game as Brendan Woodruff (Cincinnati, Ohio) reached base and Christian Jordan (Queens, N.Y.) later scored when Donald Crispyn (Freeport, N.Y.) got on base due to an error.
Dominican added three more runs in the ninth as Gray tripled home two runs and Jordan followed two batters later with a run-scoring single to left field for the final 16-5 score.
Jordan finished the game with two hits, one RBI and one run scored.
Thomas Saffiotti (Bergenfield, N.J.) suffered the loss (1-2) in five innings of work, allowing eight runs (four earned) on seven hits and three strikeouts.
Dominican returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to Concordia College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game schedule for 3pm.
