CHARGERS FALL TO PANTHERS
Garden City, N.Y. (3/31/16) The Dominican College baseball team fell in non-conference action to host Adelphi University, 20-6, this afternoon in a game played at Bonomo Field.

Garden City, N.Y. (3/31/16) The Dominican College baseball team fell in non-conference action to host Adelphi University, 20-6, this afternoon in a game played at Bonomo Field.
AU had a commanding 9-0 advantage at the end of four innings of play before the Chargers got on the scoreboard in the fifth on a lead off home run off the bat of first basemen Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.)
Dominican added a run in the sixth on the RBI single up-the-middle from Lopez to make the score 12-2.
The Chargers brought home three runs in the eighth as Jonel Ozuna (New York, N.Y.) doubled home a run and two batters later, Leandro Pena (Yonkers, N.Y.) singled to right center field to plate a run. Donald Crispyn (Freeport, N.Y.) reached on a Panther error which allowed a run to score and cut the deficit to 14-5.
The top of the ninth saw DC score a run on the single to right center of Lopez for the final Dominican run of the game.
Lopez went 3-5 with one run scored and three RBIs in the loss.
Nicholas Generalli (Bronx, N.Y.) suffered the loss (0-1) in two innings of work, allowing eight runs on nine hits.
Following the loss, the Chargers fall to 7-15 overall.
DC returns to action on Saturday as they travel to non-conference opponent, Molloy College.
