The Dominican College Baseball team travelled to take on the Wildcats of Wilmington University for todays Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference matchup. The Chargers dropped both games, as Wilmington would score late in Game 2. The Chargers now stand at 7-19 overall and 1-5 in conference.

 Game 1: Wilmington would score two runs off singles in the second inning and scored two again in the sixth. Dominican struggled to generate any scoring in the first game and would fall to the Wildcats by a score line of 4-0. Freshman Anthony Bartolomei (Oakhurst, N.J.) led the Chargers with two hits in four at-bats.

Junior pitcher Anthony Hunter (Palm City, Fla.) suffered the loss allowing three earned runs in seven innings and now stands at 1-5 on the season.

 Game 2: The Wildcats and Chargers would play out a pitchers duel in the second game of the doubleheader. In the fifth inning William Seymour (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) hit a triple down the right field line and took advantage of an error by the shortstop to score the Chargers lone run of the game. Dominican would hold on to their one run lead into the ninth inning where the Wildcats made a late comeback with a two run single up the middle.

Sophomore pitcher Kraigen Rasalla (Scranton, Pa.) experienced the loss and is now 1-1 on the season.

Dominican will take on conference opponent Caldwell University on Saturday afternoon at 12PM and 3PM.
