Dominican opened the game with a run in the top of the first inning as right fielder Max Franzone (Nanuet, N.Y.) hit an RBI single to plate Arbely Soto (Bronx, N.Y.) for the early 1-0 advantage.
MC came back to tie the score in the third and the score would remain 1-1 until the 6th stanza when the Charger offense exploded for eight runs on seven hits. Brett Karcher-Bowen (Cypress, Texas) and Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.) each had a two-run RBI single in the inning, while Franzone and Soto each drove home a run with a single. The other two DC runs scored on a Warrior error.
Dominican followed with six more runs in the seventh on four hits to extend the lead to 15-1. Joshua Colon (Bronx, N.Y.) got the scoring going with an RBI single and firstbasemen Jordan Bernacet (Schenectady, N.Y.) followed with a two-run single. An error brought home the fourth DC run of the inning, while Decker hit an RBI double. Designated hitter Tyler Malia (Delran, N.J.) brought home Dominican's 15th run with an RBI single.
The Chargers added with six more runs in the top of the ninth, highlighted by back-to-back hits from Bernacet and Soto which brought home two runs a-piece.
John-Michael Broderick (Spring Lake Heights, N.J.) earned his first win of the season in five innings of work, allowing one run on three hits and striking out six.
