Cary, N.C. (3/11/17) The Dominican College baseball team fell to the St. Thomas Aquinas Spartans, 16-4, today in a non-conference game played at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.
STAC scored runs in the first four innings to jump ahead, 16-0. Dominican got on the scoreboard in the fifth with two runs as Donald Crisypn (Freeport, N.Y.) hit a solo home run and Joseph Libio (Tamarac, Fla.) later followed with an RBI single.
The Chargers added two more runs in the seventh as Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.) singled home two runs.
Decker and designated hitter Jordan Bernacet (Schenectady, N.Y.) each had three hits in the loss, while Decker recorded two RBIs.
Brett Schneider (Coral Springs, Fla.) took the loss in three and 1/3 innings of work.
