Pace put three runs on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning, but Dominican made it a one run game in the top of the second as Justin Cancel (Seaford, N.Y.) and Jayson Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y.) recorded back-to-back run-scoring hits.
Dominican tied the score in the third on a sacrifice fly ball off the bat of Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.). The Setters countered with runs in the third, fourth,fifth and sixth innings to jump ahead, 13-3.
The Chargers added two runs in the eighth on an RBI double from Decker and Donald Crispyn (Freeport, N.Y.) reached on a fielder's choice that allowed a run to come home.
Pinch hitter Brandon Simone (Bayside, N.Y.) produced a solo home run of the left field fence for the final 13-6 score.
Decker finished with three hits and two RBIs
Arbely Soto (Bronx, N.Y.) had two hits and two runs scored, while Jordan Bernacet (Schenectady, N.Y.) had two hits.
With the loss, Domnican falls to 4-8 on the season.
DC is scheduled to travel to non-conference opponent, Molloy College tomorrow afternoon.
