OILERS RALLY TO UPEND BASEBALL
Cary, N.C. (3/9/18) The Findlay University baseball team rallied from a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Dominican College baseball team 6-4, in a game played at the USA Baseball National Training Complex.

Game One: The Chargers jumped out to a 4-0 lead as they scored four runs in the bottom of the first as Elijah Tavarez (Valley Stream, N.Y.) led off the inning with a walk and Anthony Bartolomei (Oakhurst, N.J.) followed with a double down the left field. Third basemen Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.) brought both runners home with a single up-the-middle and sophomore Brian Rotella (Stony Point, N.Y.) then double to left field to plate Decker and increase the lead to 3-0. Three batters later Joshua Colon (Bronx, N.Y.) reached on a fielder's choice that allowed Rotella to come home and give DC the 4-0 lead.
The Oilers rallied with two runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to claim the 6-4 victory.
Catcher Benjamin Meza (Miami, Fla.) led Dominican (0-9) with three hits in the loss.
Rotella finished with two hits, while Decker contributed two RBIs.
Starter Nathanial Popiel (Mechanicville, N.Y.) suffered the loss (0-2) in 5 1/3 innings, allowing six runs (three earned) on 10 hits.
