KNIGHTS RALLY WITH TWO-RUN SHOT IN THE NINTH TO UPEND BASEBALL
Pomona, N.Y. (3/27/18) The Queens College baseball team used a two-run two out home run in the top of the ninth to upend host, Dominican College. 3-2, this evening in a non-conference game played at Palisades Credit Union Park.

Dominican (2-15) broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the fourth inning when third basemen Justin Decker (Rotterdam, N.Y.) blasted a solo home run down the left field line for the 1-0 lead. Queens (7-10) would rally in the top of the fifth with a two out run-scoring single.
The Chargers regained the 2-1 edge in the sixth as left fielder Max Chidsey (Naples, Fla.) delievered a one out RBI single to right field which brought home shortstop Joseph Libio (Tamarac, Fla.).
In the top of the ninth with one on-base and two outs, right fielder Matthew Stepnoski hit the go-ahead two run home run to left field to lift the Knights to the 3-2 lead and eventual victory.
Reliever Nicholas Bolanos (Miami, Fla.) suffered the loss (0-2) as he came in to pitch the ninth inning.
The Chargers return action tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Caldwell University.
