TAVAREZ AND DECKER CLAIM ALL-CACC HONORS

(5/8/18) Dominican College baseball players, Elijah Tavarez and Justin Decker, have been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Second Team as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara today. Voting for the awards was conducted by the league's 12 head coaches in the sport.

(5/8/18) Dominican College baseball players, Elijah Tavarez and Justin Decker, have been named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Second Team as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara today. Voting for the awards was conducted by the league's 12 head coaches in the sport.
Tavarez, a junior outfielder from Valley Stream, N.Y., makes his first appearance on the All-CACC Second Team. He leads the team in stolen basesl, ranks third in batting average and hits and fifth in on-base percentage. Tavarez ranks third in the CACC in stolen bases, eighth in runs scored and 17th in hits.
Decker, a junior from Rotterdam, N.Y., earns his second career All-CACC accolades following an appearance on the First Team in 2016. He ranks third in the conference doubles, fourth in hits and batting average, fifth in on-base percentage and ninth in RBIs and slugging percentage. Decker leads the team in hits, doubles, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.
