DOMINICAN'S DECKER NAMED PRESEASON ALL-EAST

Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/24/19) Dominican College senior third basemen Justin Decker has been selected to the 2019 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Preseason All-East Region First Team, according to balloting released on Wednesday.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/24/19) Dominican College senior third basemen Justin Decker has been selected to the 2019 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Preseason All-East Region First Team, according to balloting released on Wednesday.

Decker enjoyed a stellar junior season as he ranked in the top five in the conference doubles, hits, batting average and on-base percentage, while sitting ninth in RBIs and slugging percentage.  Decker led the team in hits, doubles, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage.

In 2018 he was named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Second Team, the CACC All-Tournament Team and the All-Easter College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Team.  Decker also earned his second consecutive CoSIDA Academic All-District® First Team accolades.

He is one of five players from the CACC to be selected to the 2019 NCBWA All-East Region First Team.
