FOUR CACC GOLF PROGRAMS IN GOLFSTAT EAST REGION & SUPER REGION RANKINGS AS SPRING SEASON BEGINS

(2/19/18) Four Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) golf programs appear in the Golfstat East Region & Atlantic/East Super Region Rankings, recently released by the company as the 2018 spring season is set to begin in a few weeks. Wilmington University highlights the teams, as the Wildcats top the East Region rankings and are in second place in the Super Region rankings. Only Charleston is ranked higher than the Wildcats in the Atlantic/East poll.

(2/19/18) Four Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) golf programs appear in the Golfstat East Region & Atlantic/East Super Region Rankings, recently released by the company as the 2018 spring season is set to begin in a few weeks. Wilmington University highlights the teams, as the Wildcats top the East Region rankings and are in second place in the Super Region rankings. Only Charleston is ranked higher than the Wildcats in the Atlantic/East poll.
WilmU was crowned the CACC Champion during the fall, as the Wildcats carded a two-round total of 586 (+18) in the 2017-18 CACC Golf Championship. It marked the first time in conference history the championship tournament was held during the fall season. Wilmington is also ranked 84th in all of NCAA Division II in the Golfstat rankings.
The other three CACC programs to appear in the region and super-region polls included Dominican College, Post University and Concordia College. The Chargers, who claimed last spring's NCAA Division II Super Region Tournament Championship, is ranked fifth in the East and seventh in the Atlantic/East poll. Post sits ninth in the region and 13th in the super region, while Concordia is 10th and 14th. Concordia finished as the runner-up this past fall at the CACC Championship, while Dominican was third and Post fourth.
The 2018 NCAA postseason starts with the Atlantic/East Super Regional hosted by Concord University at the Glade Springs Resort Golf Course in Daniels, W.Va. The three-day, three-round tournament starts on Monday, May 7.
The NCAA Division II National Tournament will be hosted at the Shoals Golf Club in Muscle Shoals, Ala., starting on Monday, May 23. The top-three teams in the standings following the conclusion of the super regional tournament will advance to the nationals.
