PROKOP NAMED CACC COACH OF YEAR AND THREE CHARGERS EARN ALL-CACC ACCOLADES

(5/7/18) Dominican College men's golf coach, Keith Prokop, has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Coach of the Year as was announced today by Commissioner Dan Mara. Three members of the Chargers were named to the All-Conference Team as was determined by where the student-athletes rank in the final Golfstat individual rankings for the regular season.

Three members of the Chargers were named to the All-Conference Team as was determined by where the student-athletes rank in the final Golfstat individual rankings for the regular season.
Prokop was named the CACC Coach of the Year after he guided the Chargers to four tournament championships throughout the fall and spring seasons. The voting for the coach-of-the-year honor was conducted by the league's sports information directors. This is his first coach-of-the-year honors.
Dominican College golfers, Carlos Armas Stenner (Durango, Mexico), Leonard Lee (Wyckoff, N.J.) and Hunter Wescott (Portland, Ore.) were all named to the All-CACC Team.
The junior Lee makes his second consecutive All-CACC appearance. This season he was named to the CACC All-Tournament Team, following his t5th place finish at the CACC Championships, earned one Golfer of the Week honors and won the Individual Medal at the 10th Annual Charger Challenge. He tied for 6th place at the St. Thomas Aquinas Spring Invite, finished eighth at the Mike Bello Invite and tied for thrd at the Bentley Newport National Classic.
Stenner, a sophomore, has earned one CACC Golfer of the Week honors this season. He's had one top five finish this season and one tie for seventh place.
Wescott, a junior, also makes his first All-CACC appearance. He earned one CACC Golfer of the Week honors this season and was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll once this season. He tied for sixth place at the Penmen Fall Invitational with a second round low score of 66 (-3). He tied for 5th at the Charger Challenge and tied for 7th at the Saint Rose Fall Shootout and the Bentley Newport National Classic.
Wilmington University's Joey Russo was named the Player of the Year, while Sergio Ronchel was tabbed the Rookie of the Year.
