STENNER AND WESCOTT EARN DIVISION II PING ALL-EAST REGION HONORS
Stillwater, Okla. (5/22/18) Division II PING All-Region honorees have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Players across eight regions - East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2018.
Stillwater, Okla. (5/22/18) Division II PING All-Region honorees have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Players across eight regions - East, Atlantic, Southeast, South, Midwest, South Central, Central and West - earned all-region honors for 2018.
Dominican College golfers, Carlos Armas Stenner (Durango, Mexico) and Hunter Wescott (Portland, Ore.) were both named to the All-East Region Team for the first time in their careers.
Previously both were named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Team. Stenner had one top five finish this season and one tie for seventh place this season, while also earning one CACC Golfer of the Week honors. Wescott tied for sixth place at the Penmen Fall Invitational with a second round low score of 66 (-3). He tied for 5th at the Charger Challenge and tied for 7th at the Saint Rose Fall Shootout and the Bentley Newport National Classic, while also earning one CACC Golfer of the Week accolades.
The duo are two of four players from the CACC to be named to the All-Region Team.
