MEN'S GOLF FINISHES SECOND AT CRAB TO GO INVITATIONAL
Berlin, Md. (3/27/19) The Dominican College men's golf team finished in second place at the Crab To Go Invitational, hosted by the Chargers this past Monday at Ocean City Golf Course.
Berlin, Md. (3/27/19) The Dominican College men's golf team finished in second place at the Crab To Go Invitational, hosted by the Chargers this past Monday at Ocean City Golf Course.
The team compiled a score of 599 (300,299) in the 36 hole tournament to finish behind St. Thomas Aquinas College, who won the tournament with a score of 597.
Junior Carlos Armas Stenner (Durango, Mexico) took second place overall in the tournament as he shot for par in both rounds (72, 72) for a 144 total score. In the tournament, Stenner produced four birdies on holes two, eight, 12 and 18.
Hunter Wescott (Portland, Ore.) tied for sixth place with rounds of 78 and 72 for a 150 total score. He also had four birdies on holes one, eight, nine and 12. Daniel Parker (Ocean City, Md.) took 12th place overall after compiling a 153 total score (76,77).
Sophomore Josh Farmer (Hollis, N.H.) shot a 76 on the front nine and a 78 on the back nine for a 154 total score to finish in a tie for 13th place and Lode Nolmans (Brussels, Belgium) took 17th place with a total score of 156 (76,80). Farmer shot three birdies on holes nine, 12 and 16, while Nolmans had one on hole 11.
Dominican also had a second team compete in the tournament who finished in eighth place with a total score of 657 (328,329).
Bryce Tickner (Victoria, British Columbia) tied for 22nd place with rounds of 75 and 85 for a 160 total score, while Juan David Fajardo (Bogota, Columbia) and Arther Albero (Staten Island, N.Y.) tied for 30th place with scores of 163.
Sophomore Daniel Acosta Murguia (Torreon, Mexico) finished in 42nd place with a 172 total score and Jacob Bourquein (Milwaukie, Ore.) had a 174 total score to finish in 43rd place.
Sean Riordan (Ramsey, N.J.) competed as an individual and compiled a score of 177 to finish in 44th place.
