LUNDVALL NAMED TO THE CACC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/7/22) Seventeen (17) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2021-22 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 17 honorees represent all eight CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
MEMBERS ON 2021-22 CACC MEN'S GOLF ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
New Haven, Conn. (6/7/22) Seventeen (17) student-athletes on Tuesday were named to the 2021-22 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Golf All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. The 17 honorees represent all eight CACC member institutions that have a varsity program in the sport.
Reigning CACC Champion Wilmington University and Chestnut Hill College were tied for tops with four honorees apiece. Jan Lekes had a team-best 4.0 cumulative grade point average for WilmU, while CHC was led by Conor Regan's mark of 3.70.
Dominican University New York had one player named to the team as Alexander Lundvall (Stockholm, Sweden) makes his first appearance on the team.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
♦ Three of the honorees earned GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Nine of the honorees made the CACC Men's Golf All-Academic Team for the second time.
♦ Felician's Gonzalo Maldonado Felices made the All-Academic squad for the third time.
To be eligible for the All-Academic Team, a student-athletes must meet the following criteria: a) minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of the immediate preceding term; b) minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution; and d) student-athlete must have been athletically eligible the season preceding the award and used a season of eligibility.
