MEN'S GOLF OPENS UP THE 22-23 SEASON AT VULCAN INVITATIONAL
Belle Vernon, Pa. (9/5/22) The Dominican University New York men's golf team tied for eighth place out of 18 teams competing at the weather-shortened Vulcan Invitational at Cedarbrook Golf Course and hosted by California University of Pennsylvania.

The Chargers compiled team scores of 287 and 282 to finish with a combined score of 569 to tie for eighth place in the tournament. As a team, Dominican New York compiled 30 birdies during the two-day play.
Junior Alejandro Gomez Cervantes (Torreon, Mexico) had the high finish of third place in the tournament with a two day total of 133 (66, 67). He compiled 11 birdies throughout play to finish nine strokes under par.
Alexander Lundvall (Stockholm, Sweden) tied for sixth place overall with rounds of 68 and 68 for a 136 total score. He had 10 birdies during play to finish six strokes under par.
