MEN'S GOLF OPENS SPRING SEASON WITH VICTORY AT YELLOW JACKET INVITATIONAL

Bloomfield, Conn. (4/4/23) The Dominican University New York men's golf team opened up the spring season with a victory at the Yellow Jacket Invitational held yesterday and today at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.

Bloomfield, Conn. (4/4/23) The Dominican University New York men's golf team opened up the spring season with a victory at the Yellow Jacket Invitational held yesterday and today at Wintonbury Hills Golf Course.

The Chargers compiled a round one score of 294 and completed play today with a team score of 281 for a 575 total to earn the team title.

Alexander Lundvall (Stockholm, Sweden) finished in third place overall with 141 total score (72, 69).  In action today, he recorded three birdies to finish the round one under par.

Sophomore Brikke Decoster (Lebbeke, Belgium) tied for fifth place with rounds of 72 and 71 for a 143 total score.  He posted a birdie and an eagle on hole 13 in action today.

Alejandro Gomez Cervantes (Torreon, Mexico) had the low round score of 64 in round two to finish with a 145 score.  He also had an eagle in action today on hole four to finish the round four under par.
