DOMINICAN TAKES THIRD AT HAWKS INVITATIONAL

Candia, N.H. (4/18/23) The Dominican University New York men's golf team took third place at the Hawks Invitational held yesterday and today at Candia Woods Golf Course and hosted by Saint Anslem College.

The Chargers sat in first place after round one with a combined score of 294.  They followed with a team score of 310 on day two for a 604 total score and third place finish.

Alejandro Gomez Cervantes (Torreón, Mexico) tied for second place among the 57 golfers with a combined score of 146.  On day one, Cervantes finished the round one under par with a 70 score and followed with a 76 in round two.

Junior Alexander Lundvall (Stockholm, Sweden) took eighth place overall with scores of 71 and 79 for a combined 150 score.

As a team, the Chargers tallied 14 birdies during the tournament.
