CHARGERS GOLF COMPLETE ROUND ONE PLAY AT NCAA ATLANTIC/EAST SUPER REGIONAL

Lebanon, Pa. (5/11/23) The Dominican University New York men's golf team completed round one play today at the 2023 NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament played at Iron Valley Golf Club and hosted by Millersville University.

Lebanon, Pa. (5/11/23) The Dominican University New York men's golf team completed round one play today at the 2023 NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament played at Iron Valley Golf Club and hosted by Millersville University.

The Chargers completed the first round with a team score of 315 (+27) to be in 17th place after first round action.  During first round play, Dominican tallied seven birdies as a team with four of them coming on the back nine.

Junior Alejandro Gomez Cervantes (Torreon, Mexico) finished the day two strokes over par with a round of 74.  He recorded back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16 during the round to be in a tie for 17th place.

Brikke Decoster (Lebbeke, Belgium) and Nicholas Arrieta (Bucaramanga, Colombia) both shot a 79 (+7) in the first round.  Arrieta led the team with three birdies during the round on holes five, nine and 13. Both players are in a tie for 67th place.

Alexander Lundvall (Stockhom, Sweden) and Charles Thomas (Salt Lake City, Utah) are both in a tie for 91st place after first round action with a round of 83 (+11).  Lundvall tallied a birdie on hole three, while Thomas recorded a birdie on hole 16.

Dominican returns to the course tomorrow afternoon for round two action.  Tee times for the Chargers begin at 12:30pm.
