GOMEZ CERVANTES AND LUNDVALL EARN PING EAST ALL-REGION ACCOLADES

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/23/23) Dominican University New York golfers, Alejandro Gomez Cervantes and Alexander Lundvall, have been named to the 2023 NCAA Division II PING East All-Region Team as was recently announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/23/23) Dominican University New York golfers, Alejandro Gomez Cervantes and Alexander Lundvall, have been named to the 2023 NCAA Division II PING East All-Region Team as was recently announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Gomez Cervantes earns his second consecutive All-Region accolades in 2023. For Lundvall this is his first PING All-Region honors.

Dominican University New York was one of two schools from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to be represented on the team as Post University also had a golfer selected to the All-Region Team.

Gomez Cervantes won the FPU Fall Invitational, finished second at the Spartan Shootout and Hawks Invitational, third at the Vulcan Invitational and fifth at the Eagles Invitational. He led the Chargers with a 73.04 scoring average over 23 rounds in 10 tournaments played.

Lundvall finished in third place at the Yellow Jacket Invitational and took fourth place at the CACC Championships to earn All-Tournament honors. He finished the season with a scoring average of 75.26 over 23 rounds in 10 tournaments played.
