GRANT NAMED TO ALL-MET FIRST TEAM
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/19/18) Dominican College men's basketball player, Daniel Grant, has been named to the 2017-2018 Division II All-Met First Team as was announced by the Met Basketball Writers Association today.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/19/18) Dominican College men's basketball player, Daniel Grant, has been named to the 2017-2018 Division II All-Met First Team as was announced by the Met Basketball Writers Association today.
Grant, a sophomore guard from Middletown, N.Y., was previously named to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) for the first time in his career. Grant led the team averaging 15.8 ppg and assists with 3.4 apg, while sitting fourth in rebounding with 4.7 rebounds per contest. He ranked 12th in the conference in scoring and assists, 11th in points, sixth in field goals and 13th in field-goal percentage and steals during the regular season.
He earned one CACC Player of the Week, one CACC Defensive Player of the Week and three CACC Weekly Honor Roll selections this season.
This is Grant's first All-Met honors.
Grant is one of three players from the CACC to be named to the First Team and one of four players from the conference to earn All-Met honors. Bloomfield College coach, Gerald Holmes earned the Coach of the Year honors.
