GRANT RECORDS CAREER HIGH IN VICTORY OVER WARRIORS

With the win Dominican improves to 5-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play, while the Warriors fall to 2-7 overall and 1-1 in the CACC.
Nyack led 26-18 with 8:08 left in the first half when Dominican used a 14-4 run, with junior Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) netting 10 of the points, to pull ahead 32-30 with a little over two minutes left in the half. DC outscored their opponents, 7-4 over the last two minutes to take a 39-34 lead into the locker room at the break.
Grant finished the half with 15 points (5-10 from the floor, 2-3 from the three-point arc and 3-4 from the free throw line), while senior Ian Gardener (Norwalk, Conn.) tallied 13 points (5-6 from the floor.
The Chargers never trailed in the second half and led by as many as 15 points on a Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) trey with three and a half minutes left in regulation en route to the victory.
Grant led all scorers in the contest with a career high 28 points and added four rebounds and two assists.
Rodwell tallied 18 points, three rebounds and three assists, while Gardener finished with 15 points and four rebounds.
Center Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) grabbed a team best six rebounds and guard Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) had five rebounds.
Dominican returns to action next Saturday when they travel to non-conference opponent, Saint Michael's College. Game time is scheduled for 1pm.
