CHARGERS STAY HOT WITH WIN OVER FELICIAN UNIVERSITY
Rutherford, N.J. (12/19/18) The Dominican College men's basketball team won their fifth straight game this evening as they defeated Felician University, 84-70, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division game played in Job Gymnasium.

With the win, Dominican improves to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in CACC play.
A Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) layup with 11:23 remaining in the first half gave the Chargers a 20-14 lead, but the Golden Falcons rallied and later tied the game, 29-29, with 6:41 on the clock. A 10-3 DC run rebuilt a 39-32 advantage and they would head into the locker room with a 43-36 lead at the intermission.
Junior Tavon Ginyard (Brentwood, N.Y.) led all scorers in the half as he came off the bench to net 10 points, while Rodwell had eight points and senior Ian Gardener (Norwalk, Conn.) recorded seven points.
The Chargers never trailed in the second stanza and led by as many as 18 points en route to the 84-70 win.
Rodwell led four players in double figures with 17 points and added six rebounds.
Ginyard finished with 16 points, while junior Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) had 13 points and five assists. Gardener tallied 10 points and Donnell Hill (Staten Island, N.Y.) grabbed a team high eight rebounds. Jonathan Garcia (Springfield, Mass.) recorded seven points, four rebounds and dished out four assists.
Jay'von Jackson paced the Golden Falcons (2-6, 0-2 CACC) with 20 points.
Dominican will be idle until December 29th when they travel to non-conference opponent, University of the District of Columbia. Game time is slated for 1pm.
