2018-2019 CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET IS OFFICIALLY SET

New Haven, Conn. (3/2/19) The bracket is set and the 2018-19 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Championship will get underway on Tuesday with the four quarterfinal games at the sites of the highest seeds.

New Haven, Conn. (3/2/19) The bracket is set and the 2018-19 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Basketball Championship will get underway on Tuesday with the four quarterfinal games at the sites of the highest seeds.

The North Division seeds were set, but the final three seeds in the South Division were up for grabs on Saturday during the final playing date of the regular season. However, Goldey-Beacom College's win over Wilmington University proved to be the only result that mattered as it set the final three slots at G-B No. 2, Holy Family University No. 3 and WilmU No. 4. Jefferson had already entered Saturday as the No. 1 seed in the South, and capped its regular season with a 16-3 record in league play with a victory at HFU.

Bloomfield College knocked off rival Caldwell University on Saturday to cap its regular season with 10-straight wins and the CACC North Division Championship. The Bears also earned the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament thanks to its win over Jefferson last Saturday in Northern Jersey. Bloomfield will play host to Wilmington on Tuesday at 6 p.m., in the quarterfinals. Dominican College finished as the No. 2 seed in the North, and the Chargers will take on Holy Family on Tuesday in Orangeburg at 5:30 p.m.

The top-two seeds in the South -- Jefferson and G-B -- will play host to Felician University (North #4) and Caldwell (North #3), respectively, on Tuesday night. The Jefferson-Felician contest will be staged at 5:30 p.m., in the Gallagher Center, while the G-B/Caldwell matchup will be at 6 p.m., in Wilmington, Del.

Tuesday's four winners will advance to the CACC semifinals next Saturday at Caldwell University in Caldwell, N.J. The games will be at 12 and 2 p.m., with the highest remaining seed playing in the afternoon's first game, while the two remaining seeds will square off afterwards at 2 p.m. Saturday's two winners in the semis will then meet up in the 2018-19 CACC Championship Final on Sunday at 12 p.m., with the victor locking up the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Divison II East Region Tournament from March 16-19, at a site to be determined.
