RODWELL AND GARDENER NAMED TO ALL-CACC MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAMS

Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/6/19) Dominican College men's basketball players, Daraja Rodwell and Ian Gardener has both earned 2018-2019 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) accolades as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara and voted upon the league's 14 head coaches in the sport.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/6/19) Dominican College men's basketball players, Daraja Rodwell and Ian Gardener has both earned 2018-2019 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) accolades as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara and voted upon the league's 14 head coaches in the sport.

Rodwell, a junior guard from Baldwin, N.Y. makes his first appearance on the All-CACC Second Team.  He ranks 11th in scoring (averaging 16.6 ppg), while sitting atop the CACC in three-point field goal percentage.  Rodwell is also second in three-point field goals and is 11th steals.  He earned one CACC Player of the Week honors this season and was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll three times.  Rodwell was also named to the Met Basketball Writers Association Weekly Honor Roll twice this season.  He recently scored his 1000th career point on February 5, 2019 against Caldwell University.

Gardener, a senior from Norwalk, Conn., earns his first spot on the All-CACC Third Team.  He stands 20th in the conference in scoring (13.6 ppg), while being 15th in field goals, 20th in defensive rebounds and 27th in total rebounds.  Gardener is also 19th in total points.  He was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll four times this season.

The all-conference and major award winners will be recognized at the 2018-19 CACC Basketball Championship Banquet on Friday night on the eve of the tournament semifinals.
