#1N CHARGERS CHARGE PAST #4S LIONS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/3/20) The #1N Dominican College men's basketball team charged past #4S Georgian Court University, 80-50, this evening in front of a jam-packed crowd during a Central Atlantic Collegiate (CACC) Men's Basketball Championships Quarterfinal game on Coach Baxter Court.

With the win Dominican improves to 23-6 overall and advances to the CACC Championships Semi-Finals to be held this coming Saturday evening and hosted by the University of the Sciences. DC will take on #3N Bloomfield College at 7pm in Bobby Morgan Arena.
Senior Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) was fantastic in his final home game, delivering a game best 20 points (8-20 from the floor).
Wahaad Johnson (Brooklyn, N.Y.) poured in 17 points, while CACC Defensive Player of the Year Jason Copman (Cumberland, Md.) produced the game's only double-double in his final game in the Hennessy Center with 11 points, 14 rebounds four steals and four assists.
Junior Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) scored 10 points and seven rebounds and CACC Rookie of the Year Tedrick Wilcox (Pawtucket, R.I.) tallied nine points.
Dominican trailed 3-2 early in the first half, but used a 21-4 tear to quickly take a 21-7 advantage with a little over 14 minutes remaining in the half. The Chargers would lead by as many as 22 points in the half and cruised into the locker room with a 42-26 lead.
DC shot 47.7% (31-65) from the floor while limiting the Lions to 32.1% (18-56) shooting.
The win secures the fourth-straight CACC Semi-Final appearance for the Chargers. In facing Bloomfield, it will be the third time in the past four years where the two teams will meet in the post season. Dominican topped Bloomfield in the 2019 Championship Game.
Tonight's game was the final game on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center for seniors: #1 Tavon Ginyard, #2 Jonathan Garcia, #5 Ethan Smith, Jr., #13 Rodwell and #35 Copman. #OnceAChargerAlwaysACharger
