CHARGERS EARN SEVENTH SEED IN UPCOMING NCAA EAST REGIONAL TOURNAMENT

Indianapolis, Ind. (3/8/20) The Dominican College men's basketball team has received their second consecutive berth in the NCAA East Regional Tournament, which will be hosted by top-seeded, University of Bridgeport, March 14-17.

Indianapolis, Ind. (3/8/20) The Dominican College men's basketball team has received their second consecutive berth in the NCAA East Regional Tournament, which will be hosted by top-seeded, University of Bridgeport, March 14-17.

DC won their second straight Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship earlier today after defeating Thomas Jefferson University, currently ranked third in the region and thus earned the conference's automatic bid into the East Regional. East Coast Conference (ECC) Champion, St. Thomas Aquinas College, and Northeast10 Champion, Saint Anselm College, earned the other two automatic bids.

The Chargers (25-6) have earned the seventh seed and will face the second-seeded Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College. In a rematch of last year's NCAA East Region Semi-Final, Dominican will look to revenge an overtime loss in 2019. Earlier this season, the two teams faced each other in non-conference action where the Chargers came away with the 87-73 win.

The 2020 NCAA Division II Men's Basketball East Regional semifinals will be played on Sunday March 15th, and the regional final will be held on Tuesday, March 17th.
