MEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS TO BLOOMFIELD COLLEGE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/20/21) The Dominican College Men's Basketball team fell to the Bears of Bloomfield College by a score of 84-76.
With the loss, the Chargers fall to 3-3 (3-3 CACC). The Bears improve to 5-3 (5-3 CACC) after the win.
Isaiah Sparks led all scorers with 20 points and added five boards for the Bears. Rich Chapman and Andres Fulgencio each scored 15 points for BC. Chapman added six rebounds while Fulgencio added four rebounds.
Izaiah Poole contributed 12 points and recorded three assists. Tariq McKenith scored nine points and recorded three rebounds. Abdallah Elsaleh finished the game with eight points, three assists, and two rebounds.
For the Chargers, Tedrick Wilcox (Pawtucket, R.I.) scored a team-high 18 points and added four rebounds and two assists. Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) recorded a double-double for DC by scoring 15 points and added 12 boards. Burgess also recorded six assists.
Joshua Serrano (Amityville, N.Y.) scored 12 points and Ryan Conroy (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored 11 points.
The Bears finished the game with a shooting percentage of 64.0% and 64.3% from three-point range. BC made 11 of 13 free-throws for a percentage of 84.6%.
The Chargers finished the game with a shooting percentage of 47.6% and a free-throw percentage of 63.6%.
The Bears' largest lead in the game was eight points and the Chargers' largest lead was four points.
In the first half, both teams were evenly matched as there were seven lead changes and the Bears held a 39-34 lead at halftime.
In the second half, the Bears jumped out to an eight-point lead. DC was able to cut the deficit down and tie the game with just over five minutes to play.
The Bears answered with an 18-10 run to finish the game and secure the win.
The Chargers will look to bounce back on Tuesday, February 23rd when they host Nyack College at 7:30 P.M.
