With the win Domnican improves to 5-0 on the season while the Bulldogs fall to 0-5.
Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) led all scorers with 26 points and had six rebounds, five steals and three assists.
Guard Joshua Serrano (Amityville, N.Y.) netted 14 points, while freshman Joseph Merrill (Derry, N.H.) scored 12 points and eight rebounds.
Junior Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.) pulled down a game leading nine rebounds and Donnell Hill (Staten Island, N.Y.) had seven rebounds in the win.
The Bulldogs began the game on a 7-2 run but Dominican charged back into the game with a 25-6 run to go ahead 27-14 with 5:48 left in the first half. A Burgess layup with under a minute to play gave DC the 36-27 lead at the break.
Bowie State would cut the lead to four points (40-36) in the first four minutes of the second half, but Dominican would end up leading by as many as 21 points (69-48) with 6:12 on the clock.
DC took advantage of 21 Bulldog turnovers to score 25 points and used the depth of their bench to score 39 points in the win.
Dominican returns to action on Saturday when they travel to the University of New Haven.
