#4 CHARGERS SEE SEASON END WITH LOSS TO #5 PACE UNIVERSITY
Waltham, Mass. (3/12/22) The #4 Dominican College men's basketball team saw their 2021-2022 season come to an end tonight with a 77-64 loss to the #5 Setters of Pace University in NCAA Division II Men's Basketball East Regional Quarterfinal action.

With the loss, the team ends the season with an overall record of 21-8.
Graduate forward Jalen Burgess (Springfield Gardens, N.Y.) became the 34th place in Charger history to score 1,000 points as he reached the plateau in his first made basket of the contest with 14:19 left in the first half putting the Chargers ahead 8-6.
A jumper from Joshua Serrano (Amityville, N.Y.) put DC up, 25-20 with 2:46 left in the first half, but seven straight points from Pace put them ahead 27-25 at the intermission.
Burgess finished the first half with eight points, while Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.) had seven points and four rebounds. Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) pulled down a first half best six caroms.
The Pace offense awoke in the second half as they shot 72.7% from the floor and scored 50 points en route to the win.
Burgess led three Chargers in double figures with 16 points and three boards.
Copman finished with 13 points, a team best seven rebounds and two steals, while Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) scored 11 points, six rebounds and three assists. Donnell Hill (Staten Island, N.Y.) pulled down five caroms to go with four points and two assists.
