MEN'S BASKETBALL EDGED BY CALDWELL UNIVERSITY, SPLIT SEASON SERIES WITH COUGARS

The regionally and nationally ranked Chargers fall to 15-4 overall and 7-3 in the CACC. After the win, the Cougars now stand at 13-7 overall and 9-2 in conference play.
In this battle for first place in the north division standings, there were 11 lead changes and eight ties.
The Chargers got a huge boost from their bench by outscoring Caldwell's bench 44-9.
The Chargers were led by Isaiah Honis (Bridgewater, N.J.) who finished with 13 points off the bench including nine points in the first half.
Seth Sharif-Brown (Hackensack, N.J.) and Joshua Serrano (Amityville, N.Y.) each finished with 10 points. Sharif-Brown added a team-high six rebounds. Jaden Honis (Bridgewater, N.J.) contributed eight points while Joseph Merrill (Derry, N.H.) and Javel Cherry (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) each added seven points.
The Cougars were led by Mark Heber who added a game-high 18 points and recorded six boards. Kirk Parsons added 13 points. Darnell Evans finished with 11 points including seven boards and a team-high six assists.
Jarnel Rancy finished with game-highs in rebounds with 11 and blocks with eight. Rancy also added seven points, five assists, and four steals.
Both teams played a close first half but the Chargers closed out the half on a 12-2 run and held a 41-32 lead by halftime.
The Cougars opened the second half on a 13-4 run to tie the game and the largest deficit between both teams was five points the rest of the way.
The Cougars took a late lead over Dominican and held on down the stretch to complete the victory.
The Chargers will return home this Saturday, January 28th to host Thomas Jefferson University for the 34th Annual Bobby Mulligan Memorial Game at 4:00 PM.
