MEN'S BASKETBALL DROPS SEASON FINALE TO ALLIANCE UNIVERSITY

The Chargers finished the 22-23 regular season with an overall record of 21-7 and a conference record of 12-6.
Emmanuel Smith (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the way with a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Justin Copman (Cumberland, Md.) finished the game with 16 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Javel Cherry (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) provided nine points off the bench while Joshuel White (Paterson, N.J.) finished with seven boards and two assists off the bench. Seth Sharif-Brown (Hackensack, N.J.) added eight points and four rebounds. Brandt Roundtree (Plainfield, N.J.) scored seven points for the Chargers.
The Chargers finished the game shooting 45.5% from the field and added 54 points in the paint. The Charger bench provided a boost in the game with 35 points.
Dominican held a one-point edge by halftime over AU after a close opening half. With less than ten minutes remaining, AU jumped in front of the Chargers by six points.
The Chargers answered by going on a 12-3 run to take the lead over Alliance and then extended their lead to a four-point advantage.
AU answered with six straight points to regain the lead and finished the game on another 6-0 run to secure the win.
AU was led by Jayden Dawson who finished with 20 points and also added four rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Joel Bailey added 18 points, six rebounds, six assists, and five steals.
Jordan Rodriguez finished with 16 points and four rebounds while Isayas Aris finished with a double-double by adding 14 points and 11 boards.
