CHARGERS BASKETBALL RANKED IN FIRST CSC EAST REGIONAL POLL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/16/23) Following a 2-0 start this past weekend, the Dominican University New York men's basketball team has been ranked ninth in the first Division II College Sports Communicators (D2CSC) East Region Poll, announced this week by the organization.
Bentley, with four first place votes among the voters tops the initial poll, followed by a tie for second between St. Anselm and STAC, then Caldwell, Southern New Hampshire, Daemen, Southern Connecticut, Pace, Dominican and Jefferson.
The Chargers began the season with victories over D'Youville University and Mercy University and will have their home opener this Saturday when they host #T5 Daemen University in the 11th Annual Daniel Sullivan Memorial Game.
The East Region Committee is comprised of six voters (two from each of the three East Region conferences: Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, East Coast Conference and NE10).
The first national poll, comprised of two voters from each of the eight NCAA Division II regions, was also released this week.
