AB netted the first two goals of the game before senior Sean Driscoll (Stony Point, N.Y.) broke the run with an unassisted goalf with 8:43 left in the first quarter.
Ryan Wiberly (Setauket, N.Y.) made the score 4-2 with 10:27 to go before the half with the unassisted goal and freshman Nick D'Alessandro (Levittown, N.Y.) ended the second quarter scoring with a goal off the assist from Evan Heegan (North Babylon, N.Y.) to cut the deficit to 5-3.
The Battlers scored the first four goals of the third quarter before freshman Emmanuel Adjaye (Bel Air, Md.) broke the run with a goal off the pass from Phil Shields (Belmar, N.J.) with 2:18 left in the third.
Dominican scored the first goal of the fourth quarter as freshman attacker Michael Reyes (East Meadown, N.Y.) converted a man-up opportunity to make the score to make the score 11-5 with 14:15 left in the game. Heegan netted the last goal for the Chargers off the pass from D'Alessandro.
Junior Matthew Sandelier (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) made 20 saves in 50:15, while rookie John Rooney (Bellmore, N.Y.) had three saves in the last 9:45.
The Chargers are scheduled to travel to East Coast Conference (ECC) opponent, LIU Post, this coming Wednesday.
